MEET JORDAN

Balanced Judgment, Better Results

Jordan Benn is running for Waxhaw Town Commissioner with a vision of thoughtful growth, leadership with integrity, and a community where everyone feels heard. A long-time Waxhaw resident and life-long Carolinian, Jordan has built deep connections with neighbors, local businesses, and civic groups through years of volunteering and community engagement. Professionally, Jordan brings a background in engineering, automation and manufacturing that has taught him the value of collaboration, strategic planning, and accountability. He believes good governance means making decisions that balance the needs of today with the sustainability of tomorrow. Jordan is running a truly grassroots campaign, fueled by listening to residents, addressing concerns directly, and making sure Town Hall reflects the diverse voices of Waxhaw. Whether it’s improving infrastructure, protecting green spaces, or supporting responsible economic development, Jordan is committed to working for solutions that serve the entire community. When he’s not attending town meetings or coaching youth soccer, Jordan enjoys spending time with his wife Annie, their son Jude, and their beloved pets. You can often find them exploring Waxhaw’s trails, supporting local events, or simply enjoying a walk through the neighborhood.

Jordan Benn will advocate for responsible growth, ensuring Board decisions on expansion are fair, well-planned, and benefit Waxhaw residents and merchants.  Without special exceptions to zoning and ordinances for developers.

Waxhaw has experienced rapid growth in recent decades, but infrastructure has not kept up.  Jordan Benn is committed to prioritizing infrastructure improvements while supporting the municipal employees and police department who help make the town thrive.

Jordan is committed to restoring respectful collaboration between the Board, staff, and community, recognizing that coming together and sharing ideas is what makes Waxhaw a great place to live, work, and visit.

As an engineer, Jordan values thoughtful planning and will advocate for a long-term plan to anticipate projects, pitfalls and  changing community needs, keeping Waxhaw on a strong path forward.

Waxhaw’s greatest strength is its people.  Jordan knows this, and is committed to engaging with residents, businesses, and local organizations to ensure their voices guide the Board's decisions. For him, a Commissioner serves their community, full stop.
